Five Things #155

Every Tuesday I share five things I've liked and think you might like too. Here are this week’s Five Things…

  1. A fantastic interactive guide to how synths work by Ableton. — Learning Synths

  2. An interesting piece by Devon Zuegel on the pros and cons of taking travel photos. I love taking travel photos and equally love looking back through them. Every photo reminds me of a moment and place, and triggers memories of what happened that day. I totally appreciate constantly stopping to take photos can be frustrating for other people that you're with, and I've seen many a beautiful scene ruined by people posing or taking their own photos. But for me, like Devon, the pros outweigh the cons. — Travel photos are underrated

  3. Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie's wonderful comedy sketch show A Bit Of Fry And Laurie is on Netflix. — Series 1-4

  4. One of my favourite podcasts, The Guardian's Today in Focus, has been on a roll with excellent episodes this week and it's only Tuesday! It's consistently interesting and if you're new to podcasts a very good place to start. — Monday's episode: Why is cocaine washing up on the beaches of Fiji?, Tuesday's episode: Life in the fastest warming place on earth

  5. The swankily dressed ad men from the series Mad Men lose much of their cool once you've replaced their cigarettes with kazoos. — Mad Men but with All the Cigarettes Replaced by Kazoos
