Time Is Running Out finely demonstrates one of my favourite things about Dom Howard’s drumming — his creativity!
A few of things to watch out for:
The second verse features a ribbon crasher. If you don’t have one, I’d suggest using loose hi-hats instead.
You’ll want to experiment with how you play the second verse. The simultaneous hi-hat and low toms make it a little difficult. I’d personally opt for playing it open handed.
The pre-chorus is very difficult at full speed. Start slow, and break it down if necessary.
